Hybrid NOMA Offloading in Multi-User MEC Networks

Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) assisted mobile edge computing (MEC) has recently attracted significant attention due to its superior capability reduce the energy consumption and latency of MEC offloading. In this paper, a general hybrid NOMA-MEC offloading strategy is proposed, which includes conventional orthogonal (OMA) pure NOMA based as special cases. A multi-objective optimization problem formulated minimize for offloading, low-complexity resource allocation solution derived shown be Pareto-optimal. Furthermore, by analyzing properties obtained solution, important insights regarding are obtained. For example, it proved that cannot outperform NOMA-MEC. addition, precise condition under outperforms OMA-MEC established, match one previously developed two-user case. analytical results also establish an interesting analogy between proposed power scheme well-known water-filling strategy.
